  • Radio Licence (AROC +AELP)

This qualification reflects the role of individuals operating at a senior level who use substantial industry knowledge and wide-ranging, specialised managerial skills. They operate independently, take responsibility for others and make a range of strategic business decisions.

 

Aviation management duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge in support of a wide range of aerodrome and air transport operations, including passenger, charter, cargo, emergency service, government and commercial RPAS operations.

 

Individuals working at this level will apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, judgement and defined responsibility in known or changing contexts within broad but established parameters.

All students studying for the Diploma of Aviation (Aviation Management) (AVI50615) should apply for an Aviation Reference Number (ARN). It is similar to an account number or customer number and it should be quoted whenever you communicate with CASA. It is your own unique identifier.

Entry Requirements

Operational flight crew are to satisfy General and Aviation English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements as directed by aviation regulatory authorities. Candidates should check with the CASA or Defence aviation for specific requirements. casa.gov.au

Qualification Issued

Completing all the units of competency within this qualification will lead to the issuance of a Diploma of Aviation (Aviation Management) (AVI50616) including a transcript of all completed units. Learners that successfully complete individual units of competency, but not the whole qualification, will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment detailing the completed units.

Licensing/Regulatory Information

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this qualification.

  • This course does not require a student to hold a General English Language Proficiency (GELP) or an Aviation English Language Proficiency (AELP) as GELP or an AELP is not required to obtain a RePL as per CASA’s “Guidance on conducting RPAS Theory and Operation Training” document which is current and active.
  • GELP / AELP is only a requirement to obtain an Aeronautical Radio Licence. (AROC)
  • Australia Institute of Business & Technology does not Guarantee an Aeronautical Radio Licence (AROC) which is not a Vocational qualification under the Australia Qualifications Framework.
  • Students are welcomed to apply for an AROC for free upon finishing this program via ACE AVIATION for free of cost. (aceaviation.com.au/enrol)
