The pathway
The qualification can be completed as an optional standalone/gap pathway. Confirm entry requirements and credit for prior learning with ACE.
Step 1
Students begin their journey through the ACE Aviation online learning platform. After enrolment, students receive access to their personalised student portal containing:
The online learning component provides flexibility, allowing students to complete their studies around school, university, employment and other commitments — with structured trainer support throughout the theory component.
Step 2
RePL training is not included in this Certificate III fee. Ask ACE about existing credentials and recognition of prior learning, including:
RePL licensing and its assessment are separate from the Certificate III standalone/gap pathway. CASA issues licences subject to its requirements.
Step 3
AVI30419 may include aviation-radio competencies as electives. The standalone AROC certificate is not included.
The AVI30419 qualification has aviation radio as an available elective unit; this course does not include the AROC certificate.
Step 4
Students complete the required Certificate III aviation units. Ask ACE which prior learning and qualifications may be recognised and which competencies need assessment.
The AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation requires a minimum of 14 units of competency — 9 core units plus general, specialist and operation-type electives.
